Vroom Vroom

Stacey's been longing to trade in her Infiniti G20 (relax, it's not as fancy as it sounds) for something bigger and more to her liking. She bought that car about 4 years ago so she could commute a long distance to work without spending a fortune on gas.

Well, whatever the reasons (some legit and some "I just want a new car"), Stacey wants a new car. So, to indulge her I drove around last night to various dealerships so she could check out some of the vehicles. After all our 'looking,' the 3 cars that seemed to appeal to her most were 1. A used Toyata 4Runner, 2. a new Mazda RX-8, 3. a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and 4. a Subaru Forester GT (turbo model).

The RX-8 would just be cool, but Stacey is leaning towards the Wrangler Unlimited - "unlimited" meaning it's 15 inches longer than normal Wranglers, so there's more passenger room, storage room, and better handling, but you still get the open top feel of a Jeep. Besides, it's substantially cheaper than an RX-8. I also like the Forester, because it's tricked out and can out-accelerate a Mustang GT to 60 mph...and yes, it's a sport utility vehicle. w00t.

Well, we're just looking now. Kinda waiting to make sure our home sale goes through first. Then, who knows...

In other news, headed to Princeton's last night for a bit to hear Ben (a friend of Eli's) play. Met Eli and J-mo there, then headed home after a short while to keep the Stacester happy. Their fun continued for hours after I left, but, being the happily married man that I am now, I can live with that :-).

KEY PHRASES: "You had another bad week? What did you do this time?" (j/k). "No, watching drunk people dance to acoustic guitar music was not the highlight of my evening." "You see, it's OKAY for me to have to go home, since I'm not here to meet women. I did all that hard work long ago."
