Ready for fall
It's been a month since our beach trip. The scene above was taken from our 7th floor balcony, albeit on a cloudy day... Shortly after I took this photo, a big storm rolled through. The surf got wild enough to make for some fun boogie-boarding afterwards.
If it all works out, I plan on being back there a month from now for the Shrimp Festival. Hopefully, the weather will still be nice.
Anyway, time never seems to go by so fast as it does in the months that end in "-ber." Maybe it's the holidays...maybe it's the sheer number of events on the calendar during these 4 months. Nonetheless, this is getting into my favorite time of year, so who cares.
Things on the list this fall:
1. Camping. Lots of camping, if time/responsibilities allow. Got a new tent, new pack, new sleeping bag, new BDUs...thing that don't need to remain unused in my garage.
2. Shrimp Festival, Gulf Shores. Seafood + beach. 'Nuff said.
3. Granger. Back to Granger Community Church in Indiana for a conference. It was fun last year. Can't wait for this year.
Hopefully, we've seen the end of the 100+ degree heat that plagued us this summer. Life is more fun when you're not sweating yourself dry.
