Dusting off the old blog...
Man, it's been a long time since I've blogged anything. Life has just been too busy, and there are certainly things that take a higher priority than this...
In the past month and a half, there's been a lot going on... taking the kids on a Halloween hayride for trick-or-treating, going camping, and preparing for some major changes ahead.
Fortunately for me, I've had more fun engaging in these activities than spending time here. But blogging has always been a fun way to write down and remember things I've done and ideas that I've had, so I hope to be able to get back to it again...
Part of it, honestly, is that my life has had less drama lately...well, at least the kind I blog about. That's a nice change. Little has happened to provoke thought, which is surprising considering some of the conversations I've been in lately about church, politics, whatever else... Maybe that makes life a bit more boring, but a vacuum of drama is a welcome change. Either there's a vacuum, or I'm just growing thicker skin... or maybe I'm just skeptical that words I put down here could really make a difference. I think a grand total of 4 people actually read this (or they used to)... Still, writing allows me to clarify my own thoughts...hone my own ideas about things... and this is pretty important if one wants to maintain a clarity of thought about things he/she believes and wants to communicate...
Anyway, life beckons again. Peace out...
